A wildfire broke out in the Los Angeles area of southern California on January 7th, and multiple wildfires are currently completely out of control. Comparing satellite images taken before and after the wildfire, it can be seen that the wildfire has caused serious damage to the local community, with a large number of houses burned down. As of now, the fire has caused at least 5 deaths, multiple serious injuries, over 100000 people have been forced to evacuate, and at least 1100 houses have been damaged. A "major disaster" has occurred in California.
